‘Tell Me Lies’ Trailer: Grace Van Patten & Jackson White Star In Hulu’s Drama Series From Producer Emma Roberts

What are the laws of attraction? For some, it can be no more than toxic traits. The Hulu series “Tell Me Lies” delves into a college student finding enticements in the darkest corners of sexual magnetism.

An adaptation of Carola Lovering’s book of the same name, the project marks a major step for Emma Roberts. She assumes executive producer duties as part of a deal with the streamer. ‘Lies’ has been in development for several years; that period gave the production time to assemble a team worthy of this complex story.

The series’ pivotal roles go to Grace Van Patten and Jackson White. Van Patten stars as Lucy Albright, a college student outrunning a broken relationship with her mother. This marks yet another chance for the actress to inhabit nuanced and complicated characters. She is coming off two outstanding turns in the series “Nine Perfect Strangers” and the film “Mayday.” White takes on the role of Stephen DeMarco, the man who negatively changes everything for Lucy. He can also be seen in the recent Michael Bay action film “Ambulance.”

The series’ official synopsis:

‘Tell Me Lies’ follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolds over the course of 8 years. When Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
