Telluride 2021 Lineup Includes 'King Richard,' 'C'mon C'mon,' 'Louis Wain' & More

It really is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to the fall film festival season. It would seem, with the announcement of each festival lineup, that these events are just completely jam-packed with high-profile films. And this year’s Telluride Film Festival is definitely no exception.

The organizers of Telluride have unveiled the lineup of films that will play in the main section of the festival, and much like we’ve seen with the likes of Venice, Cannes, TIFF, and NYFF, this lineup is stacked.

Some of the big highlights include the new film from Mike Mills and star Joaquin Phoenix, titled “C’mon, C’mon,” as well as features such as “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” and “King Richard.” All three of those films are expected to be major contenders this awards season.

“We have prepared for just about anything this year,” said executive director Julie Huntsinger. “Attending Telluride is always an adventure: the altitude, the weather, and the travel requirements to get here are not for the faint of heart. But the past two years have led us to a moment where we truly understand the phrase anything is possible, and we are ready. We have heard the incredible excitement from our film community about our ability to reconvene in the beautiful Telluride setting and are just as thrilled to pick up where we left off. We are full of gratitude and anticipation to head back to our favorite activity – sitting in the dark and watching the very best works our cinematic leaders have created – and find ourselves more in love with film than ever.
