It’s rare that a new slasher film is popular enough to be put up there with some of the classics like “A Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Halloween,” or even “Scream.” For that to happen, you have to have a villain who transcends the film and ventures into regular pop culture. Art the Clown and the “Terrifier” franchise is right on the cusp of that happening. Will the third film cement Art the Clown as the next big bad in the horror genre?

As seen in the trailer, “Terrifier 3” takes everyone’s favorite mute clown killer and puts him smack dab in the middle of Christmas. Five years after the events of “Terrifier 2,” everyone has started to move on. But when Art the Clown returns with an ax, chainsaw, and other murder implements, the residents of Miles County have to do what they can to survive.
The film stars David Howard Thornton, Lauren Lavera, Elliott Fullam, Samantha Scaffidi, Antonella Rose, Margaret Anne Florence, Bryce Johnson, Alexa Blair, Mason Mecartea, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, Jon Abrahams, Chris Jericho, Daniel Roebuck, and Jason Patric. Once again, as you might expect, “Terrifier 3” is written and directed by Damien Leone.
