The 75 Most Anticipated TV Shows Of 2025

30. “Wycaro 339”
Using the working title of “Wycaro 339,” this mysterious science fiction show is the latest from “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan. Starring Gilligan’s ”Better Call Saul” star Rhea Seehorn plays the lead and Karolina Wydra also features in the narrative. Not much about it is really known, but we do know it’s set in modern-day New Mexico and has been compared to “E.T.
Premiere Date: TBD via Apple TV+, but they’ve also already ordered a second season.

29. “The Last Frontier”
Made by members of “The Blacklist” team, creator Jon Bokenkamp, and writer Richard D’Ovidio, this American thriller drama is set in Alaska and centers on a U.S. Marshal (Jason Clarke) who must protect his town while he investigates the suspicious plane crash that has set free multiple fugitives. Dominic Cooper also stars as a former Navy Seal who is being hunted by the Marshall and an accompanying CIA agent (Haley Bennett). Simone Kessell, Alfre Woodward, and Dallas Goldtooth co-star while Sam Hargrave directs the pilot.
Premiere Date: TBD via Apple TV+.

28. “Firebug”
Following the great success and acclaim of “Black Bird” writer/creator/showrunner Denis Lehane and Taron Egerton reteam with Apple again for “Firebug.” The series, which also co-stars Jurnee Smollett, John Leguizamo, Rafe Spall, Greg Kinnear, Ntare Mwine, and Hannah Emily Anderson centers on a detective (Smollett) and an enigmatic arson investigator (Egerton) working together to stop two serial arsonists in the Pacific Northwest. Kari Skogland, of “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier” fame, directs.
Premiere Date: TBD via Apple TV+.

27. “Narrow Road to The Deep North”
Based on Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, this WWII epic is a sweeping love story spanning decades. Starring quickly rising star Jacob Elordi and Odessa Young (“Shirley”), the five-part drama series centers on a Lieutenant-Colon and how his all-too-brief love affair with a young woman shapes his life forever. Directed entirely by acclaimed Australian filmmaker Justin Kurzel (“Nitram,” “The Order”), it certainly sounds like a big gear shift for him away from darker subjects. Ciarán Hinds, Olivia DeJonge, Heather Mitchell, Thomas Weatherall, are among the co-stars.
Premiere Date: TBD via Prime Video, but a first look was released last spring so possibly on the earlier side.

26. “The Studio”
Is Hollywood the place where dreams go to die? That’s the premise of “The Studio” a new comedy from Seth Rogen and his creative partners centers on a studio exec trying to save a dying studio competing with TikTok, YouTube, and non-movie distractions. The supporting cast features Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders, while folks like Bryan Cranston, Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Ron Howard make guest and cameo appearances mostly as themselves. Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory created the series with Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Frida Perez.
Premiere Date: March 26, 2025 on Apple TV+

25. “Sirens”
A dark comedy series with a sexy streak from “Maid” showrunner Molly Smith Metzler, her latest series is essentially about rich people behaving badly. More precisely, it’s about a concerned woman (Meghann Fahy) trying to intervene in her sister’s (Milly Alcock) relationship with her creepy, mysterious socialite employer (Julianne Moore), who is prone to having cult-like adoration. But the intrusive sister quickly discovers that meddling with this mogul has its consequences. Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton co-star.
Premiere Date: TBD via Netflix.

24. “Stranger Things” (Season 5)
The Duffer Brothers‘ popular Netflix sci-fi thriller Netflix series finally concludes in 2025, delayed slightly because of the 2023 WGA/SAG strikes. Everyone returns: David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Winona Ryder, plus new cast member Linda Hamilton.
Premiere Date: TBD via Netflix, and presumably the summer just like season four.

23. “Daredevil: Born Again”
It seemed Marvel was all set to reboot Netflix’s version of Daredevil aside from using key cast members in the same roles again. Rethinking the series in summer 2023, they instead made it more or less a direct continuation. Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear, Vincent D’onofrio as Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, and familiar faces like Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, and Wilson Bethel. New cast members include Margarita Levieva, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, and more, while “Loki” filmmakers Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson are the lead directors along with Michael Cuesta and more. Dario Scardapane of “The Punisher series showruns.
Premiere Date: March 4, 2025, on Disney+.

22. “Severance” (Season 2)
Has anyone shown themselves as a more versatile filmmaker in recent years than Ben Stiller? Known for broad comedies, Stiller is clearly also a cinephile, as illustrated by his science fiction psychological thriller co-created by Dan Erickson and Aoife McArdle. Centering on office workers whose memories have been surgically divided between their work and personal lives, most of the principal cast, including Adam Scott, Britt Lower, ohn Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette, return.
Airdate: January 17, 2025, on Apple TV+.

21. “The Bear” (Season 4)
While most of “The Bear” season three and four were shot at the same time, whatever happened in this process, that third season suffered by what felt like rushed writing and a hurried production. Regardless, creator, writer/director Christopher Storer, and co-showrunner Joanna Calo have a shot at redemption with the fourth (and possibly final?) season. All the main regulars return, including Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and more.
Premiere Date: TBD via FX/Hulu and presumably the summer.
