As seen in the trailer for the film, “The Bubble” takes place during the height of the pandemic, in the fall of 2020, with a group of big-name actors trying to film a long-awaited sequel to the “Cliff Beasts” franchise. And wouldn’t you know it, these actors aren’t able to behave properly even when their health is on the line. So, as you might expect, they goof off, do a few drugs, and make jokes about TikTok. Hilarity ensues.

The ensemble cast includes Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key,  Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, Peter Serafinowicz, Vir Das, Rob Delaney, Galen Hopper, Samson Kayo, Guz Khan, Nick Kocher, Ross Lee, Harry Trevaldwyn, and Danielle Vitalis. The film is directed by Judd Apatow, who co-wrote the script alongside Pam Brady

“The Bubble” hits Netflix on April 1. You can watch the trailer for the film, as well as a little “retrospective” about the “Cliff Beasts” franchise, below.

Here’s the synopsis:

A comedy about a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a sequel to an action franchise film about flying dinosaurs.
