“The Curse,” ready to hit Showtime and Paramount+ later this Fall, stars Stone and Fielder as a newlywed couple who co-star on a new HGTV series “Flipanthropy,” run by Safdie’s producer. But their plans to kickstart their career converting local New Mexico real estate to eco-friendly houses end up much more than they bargained for.
Safdie co-stars in the genre-bending comedy series. Guest spots on “The Curse” include Barkhad Abdi, Corbin Bernsen, and Constance Shulman.
Safdie and Fielder co-create, co-write, and co-executive produce “The Curse.” Fielder also co-directs the ten-episode series with Nathan Zellner and David Zellner. Stone executive produces with Dave McCary and Ali Herting under Fruit Tree, while Josh Safdie executive produces through Elara. “The Curse” is a co-production between Showtime and A24.
The first three episodes of “The Curse” premiere at NYFF on October 12. Then Safdie and Fielder’s series premieres on Showtime and Paramount+ with Showtime streaming services on November 10, followed by its network premiere on Showtime on November 12.
