With “Saw” presumably torturing its last victim this past Halloween, it looks like a new horror franchise is set to take over in delivering yearly scares with increasingly diminished returns.
“Paranormal Activity” series creator and director of the first entry, Oren Peli, has informed Dread Central that “Paranormal Activity 3” is on the way and will scare the shit out of you on October 21, 2011. No surprise here really since the sequel lit up the box office for Paramount last month and these things are cheap to make.
No word yet on the plot but don’t be surprised if it’s in 3D or uses some other dumb gimmick for the already gimmicky franchise.
