As seen in the trailer for “The Invitation,” the film follows the story of a young woman who is on a journey to discover more about her heritage after the sudden passing of her mother. She does one of those DNA test kits and finds out that she has a cousin she wasn’t aware of. They meet, they enjoy each other’s company, and the woman is subsequently invited to a wedding in England where she’ll be able to meet many more people from her distant family. But considering this is a horror film, you probably can see where this story takes a wrong turn.

The film stars Nathalie Emmanuel, Thomas Doherty, Stephanie Corneliussen, Alana Boden, Courtney Taylor, Hugh Skinner, and Sean Pertwee. “The Invitation” is directed by Jessica M. Thompson.
