According to Deadline, Brandon Sklenar is set to star in a new film titled “The Rescue.” Directed by “Old Henry” filmmaker Potsy Ponciroli, “The Rescue” is a modern Western about a rodeo cowboy who has to use his skills outside of the sport.
In addition to his breakout role in “It Ends With Us,” Sklenar is probably best known for his work in the “Yellowstone” spinoff series, “1923.” He’s also got a couple of films arriving soon, “Green and Gold” and “Drop.” On the TV side of things, outside of “1923,” he’s appeared in shows such as “The Offer” and “Westworld.”
While “1923” stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, some believe that Sklenar was the big winner in the series. His appearance in the Western made folks take notice. And now with Season 2 around the corner, we’ll get to see what more Sklenar can do.
It’s still too early to know when we might see “The Rescue” arrive in theaters. The film is expected to begin production this summer, which points to a 2026 release.
