It’s always nice to see a first time feature filmmaker land an amazing cast for their film. That’s exactly what has happened to writer-director Alex Vlack and the new film, “The Revisionist.”

According to Deadline, Dustin Hoffman, André Holland, Alison Brie, and Tom Sturridge have all agreed to star in Alex Vlack’s feature filmmaking debut, “The Revisionist.” The film is said to follow the story of a successful novelist who manipulates and transforms the people in her life into characters she needs for her next story. “The Revisionist” is an exploration of the psychological lengths a writer will go for their story.
Hoffman is a legendary actor who is a bit more picky when it comes to projects nowadays. His most recent project was a role in Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis.” He does have several projects coming in the next year or so, including a film called “Tuner.”

Holland is one of the best actors working today, and he’s recently appeared in films such as “Shirley,” “Exhibiting Forgiveness,” and “Bones and All.”
Brie is probably best known for her work in “Community,” but more recently, she’s appeared in projects such as “Freelance,” “Somebody I Used to Know,” and “Spin Me Round.”
Sturridge is best known for his role in the hit Netflix series, “The Sandman.” he’s also appeared in projects like “Sweetbitter” and “Irma Vep.”
Production on “The Revisionist” is currently underway, which means we’ll likely see the film debut sometime in 2025.
