Got a Tip?

‘The Three Stooges’ Return With An Action Comedy Movie, Original Cast To Reprise Their Roles

nullEarning a meagre $54 million at the box office on a $30 million budget, the Farrelly Brothers reboot of "The Three Stooges" wasn’t well received: audiences were indifferent. But that doesn’t matter. Why? Because The Three Stooges are a brand, and so another movie is in the works. Perhaps to little surprise, 20th Century Fox is not involved.

Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso will reprise their roles as Larry, Moe and Curly in this new indie production. A action star will join the cast, and of course all kinds of licensing and whatnot is being planned. Did no one in a position of importance realize that there’s not enough of an audience to justify this project?

No director or screenwriter has been revealed yet. Check out the full press release below.

Glendale, CA – May 8, 2015 – Earl Benjamin, CEO of C3 Entertainment, Inc. Alan Simpson, CEO of Grand Peaks Entertainmentand Brian O’Shea, CEO of The Exchange announced today that The Three Stooges are returning to the big screen in a new action-comedy feature film.

Sean Hayes (Larry), Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) and Will Sasso (Curly), will reprise their roles as The Three Stooges.

A major action star will be added to the cast.
