As seen in the trailer for “The Vince Staples Show,” the new Netflix comedy series is a wonderfully meta story of Vince Staples as he deals with the craziness in his day-to-day life. You know, like getting sent to jail or being recognized by bank robbers during a heist. Just typical stuff. If you’re not familiar with Staples, he’s a famous rapper who is acclaimed for his storytelling abilities in his music, as well as his unique style. It makes sense that he would come up with a series such as this.

“The Vince Staples Show” finds Staples teaming up with superstar producer Kenya Barris. Staples also worked with Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams to craft the stories in each episode. Since this is more of an anthology story, with each episode tackling a different situation, Staples is really the only prominent star. But he is joined by Vanessa Bell Calloway, Andrea Ellsworth, Naté Jones, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg, and Myles Bullock in the cast.

“The Vince Staples Show” debuts on Netflix on February 15. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Who’s Vince Staples? Well, that’s a tricky question. He’s kind of famous, but he’s not. He’s kind of rich, but he’s not. He’s also kind of a criminal. But he’s…not? Follow him on his daily adventures, where anything that can go wrong usually does.
