It’s not controversial to say that “The Witcher” is a huge hit franchise for Netflix. As seen in the trailer, “The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep” is based on a short story in the ‘Witcher’ novels. The film tells the story of Geralt being hired to investigate a number of attacks that have happened in a seaside village. And wouldn’t you know it, he discovers a conflict between humans and merpeople.
The animated film is written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin. Ostrowski is a writer and producer on “The Witcher,” while Benjamin is a staff writer on the show. So, both of them bring their ‘Witcher’ experience to this new film. ‘Sirens of the Deep’ is directed by Kang Hei Chul, who previously worked in the animation department as a storyboard artist for the previous ‘Witcher’ film, ‘Nightmare of the Wolf.’
“The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep” is set to debut on Netflix on February 11. You can watch the trailer below.
