"Ridiculous 6"-gate continues. If you’re catching up, Native American actors walked off the set of Adam Sandler‘s Netflix comedy western, due to material in the script, and over the depiction of Apache culture in general. The streaming giant released a statement saying that the "diverse cast…is not only part of — but in on — the joke." Soon after, some choice bits from the script also hit the web, highlighting just how sour the humor in the film is, if indeed those jokes stay in "Ridiculous 6." While Sandler himself has remained silent thus far, one of the film’s ensemble players has spoken out.
Vanilla Ice — who also featured in Sandler’s dreadful 2012 movie, "That’s My Boy" — recently spoke to TMZ and basically said folks should just chill. "It’s a comedy. I don’t think anybody really had any ill feeling or any intent or anything. This movie isn’t ‘[Dances] With Wolves‘ — it’s a comedy. They’re not there to showcase anything about anybody — they’re just making a funny movie." Of course, the rapper may be forgetting there was some minor controversy about that film at the time of release as well, from some who balked at what they perceived to be "white savior" and "noble savage" elements to the film. But still, Vanilla Ice is at least understanding.

"I am part Choctaw Indian, so I see both sides," he added.
Meanwhile, Indian Country Today, who first reported the walk off, have video of last week’s confrontation between Native actors, a producer of the film, and other crew. It’s not the greatest quality, but it seems the only answer being given was that no changes were going made to the script or film. Check it out below.
