Writer/director Michael Shanks has teamed up with real-life married couple, Dave Franco and Alison Brie, to star in the new thriller “Together” that is heading to theaters this summer on July 30.
Distributor NEON has sent us a new trailer to share for their horror film that boasts about the buzzy angle of the film, led by Franco and Brie as a couple that faces a nightmarish encounter with an unnatural and mysterious force.
“Together” has an impressive 100% critics’ score on the aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes, which is clearly being used in the marketing, as seen in the new footage from this trailer.
A logline for “Together” courtesy of NEON:
Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Dave Franco and Alison Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country. Abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.
The acting duo of Franco and Brie have previously worked together on other projects in the past, such as “The Little Hours,” “The Lego Movie,” “The Disaster Artist,” and the TV spot “Summoners War: Team Up.”
The Playlist reviewed the movie earlier in the year during the Sundance Film Festival in January, and you can read our thoughts on “Together” right here.
