It’s been a big week for Tom Cruise, first a Golden Globe nomination for his role as potty mouthed studio executive, Les Grossman in “Tropic Thunder” and now talk of bringing the character to back to the big screen for more foul mouthed misadventures and rump shaking. Nothing is set in stone yet, but Cruise seems to be down with the project. “I’ve talked about doing different videos with the character. I’ve started working with Ben [Stiller] on it, and we’ve kind of talked about different things to do,” said Cruise.
Later on Cruise said he wouldn’t rule out a feature just yet, but he had to talk to Stiller first.
This project probably won’t happen for some time now, if it happens at all, but do we really need another 90+ minutes of Tom Cruise flaunting his faux sausage fingers? While we do think that some viral videos starring Cruise might make for some solid entertainment, we don’t really think that the character of Les Grossman is worth spending mass millions on.
