'Transformers 3' To Start Shooting In May?

Mike Fleming is on a roll today over at his new home, Deadline Hollywood. After breaking the story about the fourth ‘Spiderman’ film, the writer has dropped another tidbit, this time about the start date of the next installment of Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers.”

“LaBeouf recently wrapped Oliver Stone’s ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,’ which opens in April,” writes Fleming. “He’ll likely start work in May on Transformers 3.”

The film was recently moved from summer 2012 to 2011 so it makes sense, but the thought of a follow-up to last summer’s atrocity that was ‘Revenge Of The Fallen’ going into production so soon has us slightly queasy. Will Bay want to make it in 3-D? How will he react to Megan Fox’s constant stabs at him in the media? Where will Labeouf’s Sam Witwicky’s misadventures take him next? More importantly, when are we going to get those wacky, dumb Dinobots? Time will soon tell. We know you can’t wait.
