Woody Allen’s “Whatever Works” is opening the Tribeca Film Festival this spring. The fest is scheduled to open April 22.
Sony Pictures Classics bought the rights to Allen’s film last month. The picture stars Larry David and Evan Rachel Woods, plus Ed Begley Jr. and Patricia Clarkson as (presumably) Woods’ parents.
The comedy is the only film announced so far. Tribeca runs April 22-May 3 and the fest just acquired their chief creative officer from the Sundance film festival (which leads some to assume is why Tribeca artistic director Peter Scarlet just left). [THR]
