What’s next for Ultraman? The legendary hero has been on many adventures, but he’s never seen anything like what’s to come. “Ultraman: Rising” represents a new chapter for this long-running character, based on characters by Eiji Tsuburaya, known for co-creating “Godzilla.” This time, Ken Sato takes on the iconic role. The baseball player finds himself protecting something special, a 35-foot-tall kaiju with its own powers. The upcoming project promises to appeal to newcomers as well as diehard fans. It hails from “Kubo And The Two Strings” creator Shannon Tindle, who co-wrote the project with Marc Haimes. Tindle also co-directs with John Aoshima, the latter taking on directorial duties for several “Ducktales,” “Gravity Falls,” and “American Dad” episodes.
