Vanessa Redgrave Drops Out Of Ridley Scott's Untitled Robin Hood Project

Hidden away in this week old Daily Mail article is the revelation that Vanessa Redgrave has withdrawn from her role in Ridley Scott’s ‘Untitled Robin Hood’ film on account of the tragic passing of her daughter, Natasha Richardson.

Redgrave will now be replaced by Dame Eileen Atkins in the role of Eleanor of Aquitaine. Atkins has been reportedly been cast in “recent weeks” and has had a little difficultly adapting as a result of the on-set rewrites the film is undertaking.

“They keep rewriting the script and changing my lines quite dramatically,” said Atkins. “So I’m terrified of forgetting them.”

“Shakespeare In Love” scribe Tom Stoppard is reportedly retouching the Brian Helgeland script as the film is currently filming in England. The still untitled film has a tentative release date of May 14th, 2010.
