‘Veronica Mars’ Season 4 Trailer: Kristen Bell Thinks JK Simmons Is A Domestic Terrorist New Hulu Revival

Veronica Mars” is back. Back for the second time, actually. Well, if you want to get technical, it’s the third time, but whatever. After switching networks during its short TV run in the early 2000s and a failed big-screen revival, the plucky private eye, played by Kristen Bell, is back once again. This time, she’s tackling the world of streaming.

In the trailer for “Veronica Mars” Season 4, years have gone by and the once-teenaged PI is now a grown woman running her own investigation business. She’s joined by some old friends during spring break, when suddenly a bomb goes off. Then another. And suddenly, her quiet town is now ground zero for some sort of terrorist plot. But never fear! Veronica Mars is on the case and she has her first suspect — a shady new businessman played by Academy Award-winning actor JK Simmons.

There’s no denying that “Veronica Mars” has a cult following of dedicated fans. They’re responsible for the aforementioned film that was partially funded through one of the biggest Kickstarters ever seen, at the time. Now, the franchise returns to its roots, with a new limited series, which I’m sure Hulu would love to extend into a multi-season run.

“Veronica Mars” Season 4 debuts on Hulu on July 26.

Here’s the synopsis:

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.
