There’s only two episodes left of “Game Of Thrones” season six, and if previous seasons have been any indication, the tradition is that these last two episodes — the penultimate one in particular — is where shit goes down. The last two episodes of each season in “Game Of Thrones” is akin to a mini blockbuster tentpole, with plenty of warring, fighting and vengeful retribution.

The second-to-last episode of the season, “Battle Of The Bastards” promises much of the same bloodletting and savagery. And as the title suggests, this upcoming battle is lead by two bastard sons, Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) of the Stark Family and the sadistic Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) of the house of Bolton. The episode looks like it will prove to be a massive face-off of armies.
Written by showrunners, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, the episode is directed by Miguel Sapochnik, the celebrated helmer behind the epic final two episodes of season five — “The Gift” and “Hardhome.” And he’ll do the same double duty here, also helming the season six finale, “The Winds of Winter.”
Savor what’s left while you can. There may only be thirteen episodes remaining of ‘Thrones’ that could be broken up across two more seasons. Tune in next Sunday night for ‘Bastards.’ We bet there will be blood.
