Got a Tip?

Watch: 2 Clips From The Tribeca Film Festival Pic ‘Cheerful Weather For A Wedding’ Starring Felicity Jones

nullBigger things are just around the corner for "Like Crazy" star Felicty Jones. With the period-based vibrator comedy "Hysteria" on the way to theaters, and her untitled movie with Drake Doremus sure to arrive at the festival circuit later this year, her star is only going to continue to rise. And later on in 2012, she'll team up with Ralph Fiennes for "The Invisible Woman." But coming first is another festival apperance by the actress, this time at Tribeca with her latest effort, "Cheerful Weather For A Wedding."

Two clips from the film have landed online in advance of the world premiere tonight, and they offer a nice glimpse at the light romantic comedy. Co-written and directed by Donald Rice (who is making his feature debut with the film) and co-starring Luke Treadaway, the film is set in 1932 England on the wedding day of Dolly Thatcham (Jones). Trouble soon appears in the shape of Joseph (Treadaway), Dolly's lover from the previous summer, who throws her feelings into turmoil. Dolly's mother (Elizabeth McGovern) will not allow her carefully laid plans for her daughter's future to be threatened, and as the clock ticks, the bride can't decide whether to run away with Joseph or start a new life in Argentina with her husband-to-be.

If pitched and delivered just right, this could be a solid little comic treat and certainly should be a nice diversion from the heavier fare unspooling at the fest. "Cheerful Weather For A Wedding" premieres tonight at 9:30pm at BMCC Tribeca PAC. Watch below.
