Watch: First Teaser For ‘Fifty Shades Darker,’ Universal Exec Says It Will Be “More Of A Thriller”

Fifty Shades DarkerWith the movie not slated to hit cinemas until 2017, Universal is desperate to assuage fans that yes, a sequel to "Fifty Shades Of Grey" is coming. Right now, they still need to find a director for the project, and it’s far from shooting, but that hasn’t stopped the studio from releasing the first image from the flick. And with ‘Grey’ landing on home video next month, a new teaser is coming packaged with it, and has inevitably landed online.

Of course, there’s nothing really to it except Jamie Dornan putting on his mask to fight crime have sexytimes or something. Anyway, what can you expect from the next movie besides more Mom-approved erotica? Well, something that will get your pulse racing in other ways. Speaking at THR‘s Power Lawyers breakfast (which sounds like the worst breakfast ever), Universal exec Donna Langley said the movie will be "more of a thriller." Oooooh. She also addressed the chatter that emerged when news hit that Niall Leonard, the screenwriting husband author E.L. James, would be penning the script, with an interesting tidbit.

"He actually did a draft that wasn’t credited on the first movie, and he did a really good job," she says.

"Fifty Shades Darker" arrives on February 10, 2017. Watch below.
