The final countdown is on. It’s only two more weeks until Michael, George Michael, Gob, Tobias, Lindsay, Maebe, Buster, Lucille and everyone else from “Arrested Development” gang returns for the fourth season, and now we have a full trailer to herald their return.
Of course, expectations are sky high and this minute-and-a-half spot doesn’t give away too much in terms of plot. In fact, none at all. But Kitty (Judy Greer) is back, and we presume it’ll be the last time we see those….again…. And everyone looks a bit older, of course, but fitting naturally back into their roles. If anything, this spot is just a quick re-introduction to everyone we’ll be hanging with, but in case you forgot, the format this time around is different. Each episode will be revolving around a single character (though story arcs will overlap) and there are very, very few number of scenes with the entire cast.
“There are only two scenes in the entire 15 episodes where we’re all together,” Jessica Walter said at a recent press conference for the show (via Indiewire). “But the first time we all sat down in that penthouse, which was recreated to the nails in the wall, we were so excited we hardly had the chance to calm down. Once we heard the voices and saw the faces that looked the same, except for the kids, who are now adults, that’s when I knew we were really back. Incredible. It was surreal.”
Either way, we’re preparing a full blown lockdown when it all lands on Netflix on May 26th.
