Tonight, during the closing credits of Film 2013 on BBC1, the first trailer for Danny Boyle's thriller "Trance" was unveiled. And, a few hours later, the full thing has made its way online via MSN.
Starring James McAvoy, Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel, the film tells the story of an assistant at an auction house (McAvoy) who masterminds a heist and teams up with a gang of thieves led by Cassel, only to suffer a blow to the head and wake up with amnesia. The assistant is then subjected to analysis from a hypnotist as the gang begin to suspect duplicity in their ranks. Powered by a score from Underworld's Rick Smith, this looks like another inventively lensed effort from Boyle, wrapped up in a high-wire, pulpy thriller. There is a frenetic and somewhat disorienting pace about the whole thing, that is nonetheless compelling and needless to say, the whole shebang should impress.
"Trance" opens in UK on March 27th while we still await a stateside date. Until then, watch below.
