Watch: First Trailer For Sundance Mystery Romance 'The One I Love' With Mark Duplass & Elisabeth Moss

The One I LoveWhile the going-away-for-the-weekend-to-save-the-relationship trope is a well worn one, it’s taken to new places in "The One I Love." And outside of that, with both "Mad Men" star Elisabeth Moss and Mark Duplass in the lead roles, we’d probably watch this no matter what.

Directed by Charlie McDowell (trivia: he’s son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen), the movie follows a couple who head to a beautiful vacation house to work things out, with the guidance of their therapist (played by Ted Danson, a third reason to watch this). But things quickly take a turn for the surreal. It’s a small scale film—it’s mostly in a single location, with the three actors—but we dug it when we saw it at Sundance, saying it "may seem modest, its execution is really remarkable."

"The One I Love" goes VOD in August 1st an opens in limited release on August 22nd.
