Watch: 'Friends With Kids' With Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Megan Fox & Jon Hamm Turns Up The Charm In New Trailer

nullThough it was only about four months ago, TIFF feels like it was an entire lifetime away. A blur of movies, interviews and trying to find space in the schedule for a meal of actual food that wasn't a shame filled bag of popcorn, some M&Ms and a swimming pool of Coke, it's sometimes hard to recall what we saw or did. But there are always a few movies that stay in the memory, and Jennifer Westfeldt's "Friends With Kids" is one of them.

Granted, we had our issues with the movie. The premise centers are two friends — Adam Scott and writer/director Westfeldt — who decide to have a kid, beacause the biological clock is ticking, but also actively avoid getting into a relationship, to avoid the pitfalls their married friends have become ensnared by. It's a bold concept, and while we wish the movie had strayed more from the conventional avenues it goes down (the ending is particularly unfortunate), there is so much here to like, it's hard not to recommend. The cast here is a mini "Bridesmaids" reunion with Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O'Dowd and Jon Hamm all featuring along with Megan Fox. And yes, they're all great (particularly O'Dowd who steals pretty much every scene he's in).

Frankly, we'd take this over any Katherine Heigl/Sarah Jessica Parker romcom any day of the week, so you should definitely give it a shot. But the charming trailer for the movie should do all the convincing. "Friends With Kids" opens on March 9th.
