Kevin Smith has always followed his own creative path, but at this point in his career, either you dig his movies or you don’t, and the director seems to be pretty fine with that. And so here comes his latest, “Yoga Hosers,” the second entry in what the filmmaker is calling his True North Trilogy, and it’s definitely an acquired taste.
Lily-Rose Depp and Harley Quinn Smith (yes, the daughters of Johnny Depp and Smith, respectively, with Johnny Depp also appearing) lead the movie as convenience store workers and friends who must face off against Canadian Nazis made of sausage. No, really. And that’s just the tip of the weirdo iceberg in this movie.
Also featuring Michael Parks, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, Jennifer Schwallbach Smith, Harley Morenstein and Tony Hale, “Yoga Hosers” arrives on July 29th in limited release, and the director will also be touring with the movie around the country.
