Is it some reflection on contemporary culture that “apocalypse comedy” is a genre now? Is this, in itself, a sign of the end of the world? We had “Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World” last year, amid the 2012 hullabaloo, and Edgar Wright‘s “The World’s End” is incoming along with “This Is The End,” the upcoming apo-comedy coming from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in which Rogen and a bunch of his friends – James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel and Craig Robinson, along with a huge number of other cameo-ing celebs – play themselves as the end times begin to unfold during a party at Franco’s.
Not only are there are lot of these films around right now, there’s a lot of this particular film around right now: we’ve had numerous trailers, posters, TV spots and now these three clips, which are already showing off some more gags from the film, including an axe-wielding Emma Watson, the decision to split a Milky Way and one more scene that you might not want to watch until you’re in theaters. Granted, a movie like this can’t really be “spoiled,” but you might want to hold off on that third clip.
