Lord knows we’ve been trying to get everyone to see David Michod‘s "The Rover." Not only did it rank on our Most Underrated And Underseen Films Of 2014 So Far, but the excellent work of DP Natasha Braier placed her on our On The Rise 2014: Cinematographers To Watch. In short, this film boasts a tremendous amount of talent, but if you still need another nudge to check it out, here’s a generous helping.
The first six minutes of the movie are now online, and it’s a helluva opening. When Guy Pearce‘s car gets stolen by a band of thugs in the dusty, arid, not-too-distant future, he hunts them down with singleminded intensity. This may be a car chase, but the sequence builds character. And sorry, Robert Pattinson fans, the actor doesn’t enter the movie until a little later, hence he’s not in this clip.
Check out the video below and you can own "The Rover" when it hits home video on September 23rd. [ShockYa]
