Yep, it’s about ten years since Greg McLean took audiences to the outback and scared them silly with “Wolf Creek.” The original only made around $27 million worldwide, but it was enough to spawn this follow-up a decade later, and it looks like it’s more harrowing horror in the wilds of Australia.
John Jarrat is back as the ruthless Mick Taylor, and this time he’s got a whole new game. The sequel finds him terrorizing the young, wide-eyed, city slickers Rutger and Katarina who have dared to backpack and explore the “real” Australia. Well, things will get “real” in a whole other way when Mick puts his sights on them. In short, it looks like if you dug the first movie, this one will be right up your alley, with more sun-baked tension to work up your spine.
“Wolf Creek 2” opens later this year. Watch below.
