As the official synopsis describes it, the Gabriel Clarke and John McKenna-directed film is the acclaimed racing documentary “Senna” meets “Bullitt," and focuses on the making of McQueen’s passion project, the 1971 racing film “Le Mans.” It was not only a tumultuous time for the actor in his personal life, but it was also a grueling and dangerous shoot for McQueen. Using a mix of current interviews and previously unseen footage of the production of “Le Mans,” the documentary is sure one of the most intimate portraits of McQueen ever.
“Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans” opens in NYC and LA on November 13th, as well as on VOD and DVD and Blu-ray. Watch the trailer below.
