Anticipation is high for Duncan Jones‘ sophomore effort “Source Code,” his followup to the acclaimed “Moon,” and we’ll soon see if the time-looping sci-fi story will deliver the goods.
The film centers on a soldier, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, who is part of an experimental government program investigating a terrorist incident. He finds himself in the body of an unknown commuter living and reliving a harrowing train bombing until he can find who is responsible for the attack. The film features a fantastic supporting cast including Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright and comedian Russell Peters. A new clip for the film has arrived and it’s a smart one, laying out the rules of engagement Gyllenhaal has to follow in trying to stop the bomb from going off. It’s too brief to make any real impression about what might be in store from the film, but we’re mostly curious why he looks like he’s sitting in a freezer.
“Source Code” will open SXSW on March 11th and hit theaters on April 1st. Clip below. [IGN]
