Familiar? More of the same? Does it matter? When it comes to “The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug,” part of a billion dollar franchise that will forever spin money into the Middle Earth bank accounts for Warner Bros., it’s probably best not to rock the boat too hard. Simply put, all the team has to do is sell an epic adventure, and today they’re doing just that.
Hot off a live fan event broadcasted online this afternoon, a brand new 3-minute trailer has dropped for ‘Smaug’ along with eight new posters, a few new stills, and a video production blog, all for your viewing pleasure. What else do you need? Peter Jackson and Co. is bringing his usual bag of tricks which will hopefully add up to a more cohesively awesome experience than “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” which was one half snoozeville, the other half rad-sauce.
