Watch: New Red Band Trailer For Michael Bay’s Benghazi Thriller ’13 Hours’

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers Of BenghaziThe election is still a year away, yet the word ‘Benghazi’ has been lobbed around like a political bomb directly at Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. She’s been surviving the Republican attempt to try and corner her on the issue, but the topic likely isn’t going away anytime soon, and Michael Bay‘s upcoming "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi" will a shine a spotlight on it all over again. But the director insists he’s taking no sides.

“It does deal with the stand down order, but I show both sides of the story. I met with the CIA on this movie and I show the whole situation,” he told THR in September. “You don’t hear it on the talking points on the news. This is a much more in-depth look at what’s going on inside that CIA base, and it shows it from both sides.” Admirable approach, but Bay has never been one for nuance, so we’ll see how his handling of the material plays out in practice.

Starring John Krasinski, Pablo Schreiber, Toby Stephens, David Giuntoli, James Badge Dale, Max Martini and David Costabile, ’13 Hours’ opens on January 15th.
