If you’re at all interested in genre fare, then you’ve likely heard the growing buzz around the vampire comedy "What We Do In The Shadows." From the minds of Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, the movie has steadily building a fanbase and has landed on a few top ten lists from abroad. Well, the New Zealand flick is headed to the U.S., and a trailer has arrived.
Rhys Darby, Jonathan Brugh, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Stu Rutherford, and Jackie Van Beek join Clement and Waititi in this mockumentary that follows a quartet of bloodsuckers who share what their day-to-day life in contemporary times is like. And it’s that simple premise which allows for a foundation for inspired laughs via a genre has been well worn over the past few years. And this one is definitely worth your time, as it’s far beyond your standard horror spoof. It’s a movie we called in our review "a total surprise; a silly, scary delight."
"What We Do In The Shadows" arrives on February 13, 2015.
