New ‘The Accountant 2’ Trailer: Ben Affleck & Jon Bernthal Star In Action Sequel On April 25

It’s a busy 2025 for Ben Affleck at Artists Equity. The actor’s new production banner has three films lined up for release this year, and they all star Affleck. (Okay, “Animals” for Netflix is shooting now, and it’s an outside shot for a 2025 premiere.)

First up? It’s “The Accountant 2,” with “RIP” hitting Netflix later on. The sequel to the 2016 action thriller sees Affleck’s Christian Wolff team up with his brother, played by Jon Bernthal, after he becomes the target of a ruthless network of killer.

Here’s an official synopsis for “The Accountant 2,” courtesy of Amazon MGM Studios:

Christian Wolff has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax, to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

Along with Affleck and Bernthal, “The Accountant 2” also stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons.

Gavin O’Connor directs a script by Bill Dubuque for “The Accountant 2.” Affleck leads producers via Artists Equity with Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams.

“The Accountant 2” gets special preview screenings on April 15 for Tax Day before it opens nationwide on April 25. Watch a new trailer for the action sequel below.
