As you can tell from our exclusive chat with director Tony Gilroy that we posted earlier today, the secretive layers of Universal's "The Bourne Legacy" are slowly being peeled back, and it appears that a larger conspiracy is in play in this new iteration of the series, now led by Jeremy Renner. While we don't have a review of the film yet, our interview piece this morning called the picture "high octane chess," which was what we kind of hoped for and expected from Gilroy, the director behind "Michael Clayton."
As Universal approach their August 10th release date, they're easing up on their tightly controlled reins and giving away more goods. In fact, eleven new images from the film have arrived on top of the five images we exclusively debuted earlier today.. Starring Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton and Oscar Issac, the film also includes several familar faces from the original 'Bourne' series cast including David Strathairn, Joan Allen, Scott Glenn, Paddy Considine, Albert Finney and more. In addition to this bounty of new photos are three new clips, the most fascinating being a 1:1 between Norton and Renner where the former tells his subordinate that they are the "morally indefensible sin-eaters." A juicy scene indeed. We can't wait. "The Bourne Legacy" hits theaters on August 10th. Clips below and images on page 2.
