After “The Last of Us” took eight trophies on Saturday night, the Television Academy pivoted toward more reality awards for the second night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham” was the big winner taking six awards including a big win in the Unstructured Reality Program Emmy.

“Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie,” took the Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and three other wins while “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” which CNN stupidly canceled, took Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. Hulu’s “The 1619 Project” won Documentary or Nonfiction Series and “The Simpsons” once again took Animated Program (we’ve lost count of how many times it’s won).
President Barack Obama won his second Emmy Award in the Outstanding Narrator category for “Working: What We Do All Day.” Maya Rudolph took her third Character Voice-Over Performance win for “Big Mouth” and Keke Palmer won her second Emmy Award overall in the Game Show Host category for “Password.” RuPaul won his eighth straight Emmy in the Reality Competition Show Host category for “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Among other winners, Shawn Carter, perhaps more familiar as his on-stage moniker Jay-Z, won his second Emmy for co-directing Rihanna’s Super Bowl performance. Carol Burnett won her seventh Emmy at the age of 90 as “Carol Burnett: 90 Years Of Laughter” took Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded).
The Primetime Emmy Awards will be handed out next Monday night, January 15th on FOX.
