What door are we looking for? If you were paying attention, there were a series of clues released by HBO earlier this week. These clues challenged fans to solve puzzles that would unlock the new poster for “Westworld” Season 2.

The poster has an ominous look to it, under a blood red sky stands what is left of a vulture. What you may not have seen right away, though, is a series of numbers the horizon. This code led fans to a new page on the “Westworld” website, unlocking a teaser video. The video shows clip after clip of doors opening and shutting with a voice that can be presumed to be a young Robert Ford telling the hosts to find the door. What could this all mean?
Last season we left “Westworld” right as the host rebellion was about to begin, and on the poster, we have a vulture– the symbol of transition and renewal. Are we going to walk into a massacre in Season 2?
It doesn’t sound like we will be. According to an article posted on Screenrant, Season 2 won’t be picking up directly after Season 1, however, we will definitely see and feel the effects. The show will be experimenting with different points of view and will be exploring a world beyond the park. We can expect this season is going to be bigger and more extravagant than season 1.
You can watch the newest trailer below. Season 2 of “Westworld” will be premiering on April 22, 2018, at 9:00 pm on HBO. Note the music in the trailer: a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” by series composer Ramin Djawadi.
