‘Wheelman’ Trailer: Frank Grillo Drives Like His Life Depends On It

Netflix has just released the first trailer for Jeremy Rush’s film “Wheelman.” The film stars Frank Grillo as a getaway driver who is, surprise suprise, double crossed and must drive to survive. While it doesn’t sound like the most original plot, Grillo is always a welcome presence and the film will be, at the very least, action packed. The official synopsis reads:

Frank Grillo (Kingdom, Captain America: Civil War) stars as the wheelman, a getaway driver thrust into a high stakes race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes terribly wrong. With a car full of money and his family on the line, the clock is ticking to figure out who double-crossed him and the only person he can trust… his fourteen-year-old daughter. All reasons to think fast and drive faster.

For Jeremy Rush’s first produced feature film, he got a pretty good leading man (who is also making his producing debut with this film). Garrett Dillahunt (“Deadwood”, “Raising Hope”) and Caitlin Carmichael (“300: Rise of an Empire”) co-star with Dillahunt playing, presumably, the bad guy and Carmichael as the driver’s daughter. Interestingly enough, Joe Carnahan (“The Grey”, “The A-Team”) is producing the film.

“Wheelman” launches on October 20th on Netflix, so keep in an eye out and let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments.
