'The Man Who Invented Christmas' Trailer With Dan Stevens

Summer is barely over, and we’re not even at Halloween, but get ready because Christmas is going to come at you hard. There’s only four months to go until Santa Claus slides down the chimney, and naturally, Hollywood will have a least a few movies ready for the season. And one of them will the true story about how the classic “A Christmas Carol” came to be.

The Man Who Invented Christman” sees Dan Stevens take on the role of Charles Dickens, in this movie which both serves as what looks to be a pretty loose telling of how he was inspired to write the classic story, along with actually seeing the tale unfold before his eyes. It all looks very whimsical and clearly geared for a family audience, though it’s not the kind of thing we’ll be rushing to open under our tree.

Co-starring Christopher Plummer and Jonathan Pryce, and directed by Bharat Nalluri (“Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day“), “The Man Who Invented Christmas” opens on November 22nd.
