According to THR, the search is on for a director for the film, “Why Don’t You Love Me?,” which will star none other than Jennifer Lawrence. The film is based on the graphic novel of the same name by author Paul B. Rainey. “Why Don’t You Love Me?” tells the story of a married couple as they go through typical married strife but begin to realize that their reality isn’t all that it seems. The film will be written by Robert Funke (“On Becoming a God in Central Florida”).

This marks the second time in a matter of weeks that Lawrence has announced a new project with A24. She’s also attached to produce and star in “The Wives,” which is inspired by the ‘Real Housewives’ series. Previously, she worked with A24 on the film “Causeway,” which was criminally underseen when it was released in 2022.

Lawrence is said to be in production on the new film from director Lynne Ramsay, titled “Die, My Love.” In addition, she was recently announced as Leonardo DiCaprio’s costar in a Frank Sinatra biopic directed by Martin Scorsese. Additionally, she is said to have turned down the upcoming “Jurassic Park” reboot film. Scarlett Johansson stepped in to take on the project herself.

Of course, it’s still too early to know when we might see “Why Don’t You Love Me?” arrive in theaters.
