Got a Tip?

Will Ferrell Will Hang Out With Circus Animals In The 1960s In ‘Tom’s Dad’

Get HardSo which Will Ferrell are we getting in the upcoming "Tom’s Dad"? Are we getting the comedian who sorta flopped this past spring with "Get Hard"? Or the man who likes to dabble in indie dramas from time to time? Well, even though it’s described as a comedy, it sounds like we’ll see both in the upcoming movie directed by the always safe and reliable Lasse Hallström ("Chocolat," "The Cider House Rules," "The Hundred-Foot Journey").

Martin Casella penned the screenplay for this ’60s set tale about that follows Arthur (Ferrell), a struggling nightclub performer hoping to make it big with his stage act involving circus animals. Production on the film will begin early next year, so it’ll be a while yet before we see it. But should they even bother to attempt it, I’ll just say if there are any scenes in which Ferrell gets accidentally shot by a tranquilizer gun, "Old School" will forever have the high bar on that.
