Thirteen years have passed since Will Smith and Martin Lawrence brought some serious mayhem with "Bad Boys 2," and Mike and Marcus are gearing up for more. After years of everyone saying there might be another sequel, last summer, it was announced that Joe Carnahan would write and possibly direct "Bad Boys 3," while Sony revealed release dates for "Bad Boys 3" and "Bad Boys 4." And unlike "Independence Day: Resurgence," we’re getting the return of the stars who launched the franchise in the first place.

Dropping by BBC Radio1Xtra (watch below), Smith revealed that he and Lawrence will "definitely" be back for the next ‘Bad Boys’ movie, and I venture it’s safe to say that means the fourth one as well. And it seems things are picking up around the movie. Carnahan recently shared some pre-visualization work on Twitter, and I’d gamble he will indeed be directing "Bad Boys 3," especially considering that Michael Bay is now busy with "Transformers 5." Considering the release date is now about one year away, we should be hearing more official word about "Bad Boys 3" soon.
"Bad Boys 3" will arrive on February 17, 2017 with "Bad Boys 4" arriving on July 3, 2019.
