What would you do for money? The question gets even more complicated when $156 million is on the line. “Your Lucky Day” sees one such group fighting over a life-changing lottery win; soon, their conflict turns even more violent as a deadly hostage situation unfolds. The thriller comes from filmmaker Daniel “Dan” Brown. Prior to the feature, the director helmed a short-form version of the project in 2010. Brown also took on writing duties in both the current feature and short.

The film is described as not holding back on its action. Still, Brown is promising an intense character study focusing on ethics and morality. Additionally, the filmmaker ventures into making the American dream and the poisonous influences that can wear down even the best of intentions.
This intriguing thriller also features a stark reminder of how fleeting life can be. “Euphoria” star Angus Cloud makes one of his final on-screen appearances in the film. It’s a sad testament to this incredible talent and what already was a promising career. The late actor co-stars with “The Purge” and “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” actress Jessica Garza.
