How far will you go for that unforgettable moment? Two people are about to find out in “You’re Cordially Invited.” The comedy sees dueling wedding parties at odds for that all-too-perfect venue. What ensues is a battle between the father of the bride and the sister of the bride from rival parties. ‘Invited’ hails from writer and director Nicholas Stoller, who previously developed 2023’s TV revival of “Goosebumps” with Rob Letterman and is known for directing comedies like “Saving Sarah Marshall,” “Five Year Engagement” and “Neighbors.”

The film features two established comedy talents in leading roles. Will Ferrell portrays the father who wants everything to be just right for his daughter’s special day. Reese Witherspoon plays a dedicated sister intent on helping her sibling. Ferrell and Witherspoon take on extra duties for this project, serving as two of its producers. Geraldine Viswanathan, Meredith Hagner, Jimmy Tatro, Stony Blyden, Leanne Morgan, Rory Scovel, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Ramona Young, Jack McBrayer, and Celia Weston round out the cast.

When two weddings are accidentally booked on the same day at the same venue, each bridal party is challenged with preserving their family’s special moment while making the most of the unanticipated tight quarters. In a hilarious battle of determination and grit, the father of the bride (Will Ferrell) and sister of the other bride (Reese Witherspoon) chaotically go head-to-head as they stop at nothing to uphold an unforgettable celebration for their loved ones.
