One of the most surprisingly satisfying movies of 2015, and a modest hit, “John Wick” was a kick-ass, entertaining thriller that relit Keanu Reeves‘ career and raised the bar on balletic, action orchestration. Sure, the narrative, killing the puppy and the motivation to jump start the movie was paper thin, but when “John Wick” kicked into overdrive, whoo boy, what an unexpected treat of an actioner.

Originally directed by stunt coordinators and second unit action directors, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, both have become in-demand filmmakers with a lot of heat. In the sequel, “John Wick: Chapter 2,” only Stahelski returns (Leitch is helming “Deadpool 2“), but if the new installment is even half as wickedly fun as the first episode, audiences will be in for a good ride. Hell, it’s action precision and brutality has made it one of our Most Anticipated Films Of 2017.
