'Kingsman: The Golden Circle' Trailer: Channing Tatum Dances

Kingsman: The Golden Circle” is a movie that people are looking forward to. I know this to be true, as I encounter the following strange occurrence on a semi-regular basis: I’ll be perusing good ol’ Film Twitter — as I am wont to do — when I’ll see someone with otherwise good taste give voice to the following inexplicable sentiment: “Gee whiz, am I ever looking forward to that ‘Kingsman’ sequel!” To which the only acceptable response is “Why?” or “Really?”

Look, I just don’t get the appeal, alright? I am decidedly in the minority here — lots of smart folks like the first entry in this series — but I can’t imagine being remotely hyped about Matthew Vaughn‘s upcoming sequel to “Kingsman: the Secret Service” (which is a pretty dumb movie, right? Am I incorrect in recalling that the protagonist’s climactic reward for having blown up evil-Sam Jackson‘s head is that he gets to have anal sex with a princess? Or something?)

If you are a fan of the series — and please, I beg you, explain the appeal to me so that I can get on the right side of history here — you’ll be happy to note that ‘The Golden Circle’ promises more British accents and suits and stuff. In an interview with The Independent, star Taron Egerton assures the world that the sequel has “got that quintessential Britishness and it’s still about what being a gentlemen is, and we’re still in those beautifully tailored suits.” So you can breathe easy on that score. Here’s the official synopsis for
